NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASE FOR

TRI-CITY CUSD #1

A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax increase for Tri-City CUSD #1 for 2019 will be held on December 19, at 7:15 p.m. in the HS Library.

 

Any person desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contact Jill Larson, Superintendent, Tri-City CUSD #1, 324 West Charles, Buffalo, IL 62515 or by telephone at (217) 364-4811.

 

The corporate and special purpose propertytaxes extended for the tax year or abated for 2018 were $3,302,763.15.

 

The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2019 are $3,963,320.  This represents a 20% increase over the previous year.

 

The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2018 were $616,427.58.

 

The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2019 are $616,460.  This represents a .0000525% (less than 1%) increase over the previous year.

 

The total property taxes extended for 2018 were $3,919,190.73.

 

The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2019 are $4,579,780.  This represents a 18.56% increase over the previous year.
