2011 Grant Awards Ann Zuehlke-Denoyer $257.00 This grant will provide Ginger Software to improve writing skills for high school learning disabled students. The students will be able to use the software to edit their own written work.
Rachel Ventress Katie Vasel $2460.28 The funding from this grant will be used to complete the funding for the replacement of the damaged stage curtains. This project also includes $1700 from the fund a project portion of the Education Foundation Auction. This project will enhance stage productions at the school.
Janis Bredehoft $2,380.00 This grant will provide 17 iPod touches for daily uses in her elementary classroom. The devices will allow for differentiation of instruction and elimination of downtime for elementary students.
Jessica Miles $1434.00 This grant will fund the purchase of an Activote Response System. Activote is a learner response system that encourages classroom participation when used with a Promethian board.
Kim Kramer $224.75 This grant will allow for the purchase of 5 educational games that will help students improve their vocabulary, language, grammar and critical thinking skills.

2010 Grant Awards Rachael McRae $324.00 This grant provides for funding flip video literature circles. Third grade students will use Flip video camcorders to record video logs while reading a novel in small groups. Danielle Heck $605.00 Funding from this grant will be used to pay for a PreK field trip to see a performance of a popular children’s book at Sangamon Auditorium and a family night at school. Funds will only be provided if a pending grant is not approved. Dave Bruno $2266.00 Funding for this project will be used to convert the school computer lab into a video conferencing room for all grade levels. In addition technology will be added to create an individual learning environment for college classes and interactive lessons.
Kara Cummins Duane Schupp $1525.00 This grant will allow Preschool thru seventh grade students to experience museum quality 3-D programs in grade level groups. The programming will serve to reinforce what students are currently studying and is presented in a large dome structure.
Katie Vasel $323.00 This grant will purchase hand drums and wood blocks for the elementary general music program. This purchase will allow the school to meet Illinois Learning Standards for Fine Arts.
